Tania's PhD investigated the relationship between iron and harmful algal blooms (HABs) of cyanobacteria in midwestern lakes. She worked at Lakeside Laboratory and with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for sample collection. She used pulse amplitude modulated (PAM) fluorescence to monitor the algal community.
